WORKSHOP DELIVERY

I'm available to deliver hands-on workshops for adults or children in community spaces, studios, schools, festivals, and private events. Whether it’s a beginner lino printing session, a drypoint workshop, a collaborative project, or a creative hen party activity, workshops can be adapted to suit different groups, ages, abilities, and locations.

Based in Birmingham, I teach workshops across the West Midlands and travel further afield for festivals, events, and larger projects. Using portable presses and professional materials, I’m able to teach a wide range of printmaking techniques outside of a traditional studio setting, making printmaking accessible, flexible, and engaging.

Workshops can focus on specific techniques such as linocut, drypoint, monoprinting, collagraph, Tetrapak printing, and letterpress, or take a broader experimental approach combining multiple processes. Sessions can be delivered as one-off workshops, short courses, or longer-term projects, depending on the needs of the group or individuals.

Linocut

Linocut is a bold and versatile relief printmaking process. From simple single-colour prints to layered reduction, jigsaw, and multi-block techniques, linocut workshops offer an accessible and rewarding way to explore pattern, texture, and colour.

Drypoint

Drypoint is an expressive form of intaglio printmaking, known for its rich, velvety lines and tactile mark-making. Participants draw directly into a plate before inking and printing their work, creating unique and characterful prints.

Carton Printing

Carton printing is an accessible and experimental form of printmaking that transforms recycled Tetra Pak cartons into printing plates. Participants create prints with rich textures, expressive lines, and unexpected results.

Letterpress

Letterpress is a traditional method that uses hand-set type and blocks. Workshops offer an introduction to typography, composition, and using words in print, while exploring the character and craftsmanship of this historic process.
