You Find Strength - Reduction Linocut

You Find Strength is a four‑colour reduction linocut. It’s a self‑portrait made during my recovery from breast cancer. The work explores the physical and psychological effects of treatment.

This is a limited edition of ten, printed on Japanese HoSho paper using Caligo relief inks and hand burnished. The print is 28 × 39.5 cm and is created from four printed layers carved from a single lino block.

The composition combines bold graphic forms with expressive gesture and text, capturing a moment of defiance and self‑possession.

•Image 1 – The final print
•Image 2 – The lino block with very little carved away
•Image 3 – The carved lino block ready to print. This shows the masking used to keep the print clean from chatter and noise
•Image 4 – Layer Proofs showing each colour printed individually
•Image 5 – Progression Proofs showing how the image developed as each layer was added
